Competition law
At DAHL we are thoroughly versed in both Danish competition legislation and the relevant EU regulations. We have wide experience in EU tendering – both as consultants for bodies wishing to put a project out to tender and for tendering companies. We provide legal advice to help our clients minimise competition problems as well as providing assistance with pending competition cases. We can help your company prepare compliance programs to prevent breaches of competition legislation. Plus, we have a team standing by should your company experience a dawn raid from competition authorities.
Our skill set covers both
vertical and horizontal agreements
We have extensive experience in helping companies shape
their distribution structure including distributor, franchisee and
agent agreements. In addition we have helped many companies
structure horizontal agreements between competitors - and,
crucially, ensured that they are not in breach of competition
legislation.
Mergers and acquisitions
We are also widely experienced in obtaining approval from
competition authorities for mergers, acquisitions and joint
ventures. We benefit from a highly specialised international
network, which allows us to manage parallel merger filings in
several countries.
Compliance programs
We're happy to help your company prepare a tailor-made
compliance program detailing company policy and rules governing
employees' actions in the market.
A compliance program is an important tool that can help to ensure
that your company is always on the right side of competition
regulations - and help you avoid the often drastic consequences of
overstepping the mark.
Dawn raids
We also have plenty of experience in assisting companies
in connection with unannounced inspections by competition
authorities. We can provide a tailored action plan to help your
company in the event of an inspection visit.
EU tendering
For many years, DAHL has helped public bodies and energy
supply companies to prepare EU tender documents. Similarly, we have
helped a number of companies to tender for such contracts.
