Litigation
Two areas in which DAHL is particularly strong are litigation and arbitration. We provide legal advice covering all types of legal dispute resolution with particular focus on commercial law.
We represent clients in cases before the Danish courts, the European Court of Justice and in national and international arbitration cases and on a variety of boards and councils including Voldgiftsnævnet for Bygge- og Anlægsvirksomhed (The Construction Arbitration Board).
Advice prior to and during legal process
How best to settle a dispute? When should we act to secure
evidence or enter into settlement discussions?
Our advice always includes a precise assessment of the procedural
risks involved. We analyse legal issues that are central to the
case as well as assessing evidence and the case's potential
financial, personal and commercial consequences.
We also provide legal advice regarding the formulation
of dispute resolution clauses in contracts.
Working closely with a range of professionals
Disputes need resolutions. To achieve them it's often a
good idea to draw on specialist legal advice. That's why
our litigation lawyers work closely with lawyers with the
relevant special skills.
We have trained and experienced mediators at our disposal; and many
of our lawyers have passed The Associaton of Danish
Lawfirm's arbitration training course.
Insurance and tort
DAHL provides specialised and efficient legal advice in
all areas of insurance law and tort. We benefit from many years of
experience representing clients in court cases and arbitration
proceedings and our clients include a number of Danish and
international insurance companies. We regularly represent clients
in insurance and tort cases before both the Danish Supreme Court
and the High Courts.
Tort
Our legal services extend to all the different varieties
of injury cases. We have extensive experience, for example, in
personal injury cases including accidents at work, traffic
accidents etc. Other injury cases typically arise in a commercial
environment involving the professional responsibility of
individuals such as architects, estate agents, lawyers and
doctors.
Insurance
We also provide legal advice regarding the interpretation
of insurance terms and conditions and business insurance
coverage.
